Federal program: Entry to day care center

Overview

The aim of the evaluation was to take a look at the needs-oriented educational services and structures in the federal programme "Kita-Einstieg: Brücken bauen in frühe Bildung" in order to find out to what extent development processes in inclusive early education need to be initiated, professionalisation approaches for specialists need to be expanded and transition management in the early childhood education landscape needs to be designed. To this end, various overarching and topic-specific research questions were formulated, the answers to which should contribute to the research field of "inclusive educational landscape". To answer the research questions, a multidimensional formative and summative evaluation design was chosen, which is partly structured longitudinally.

The interim results of the evaluation were prepared in practical guidelines and handouts and made available to the stakeholder groups of the "Kita-Einstieg" project for the purpose of process optimisation. In addition, digital practical materials were developed from the empirical findings of the evaluation, which the stakeholder groups, as well as other practitioners from relevant fields of work, can use to reflect on and support their educational practice.
