Equality, Compatibility & Diversity

Gender equality, family-friendliness as well as appreciation and promotion of diversity of all university members are overarching goals that Paderborn University has been committed to for many years.

However, Paderborn University sees the promotion of equality, compatibility and diversity not only as an obligation, but also as an enrichment. Because only through a diverse university community, everyone can benefit from a positive and supportive learning, teaching, working and research environment.

Discrimination, bullying, racism and other forms of exclusion are not tolerated at Paderborn University and active efforts are made to ensure that all university members can develop their full potential and feel safe on campus. To this end, the central Equal Opportunities Officer and her team continuously help to shape the university's political structures and instruments and develop tailor-made measures and (advisory) services for different target groups.
