Admission

If you are accepted into the preparatory German language course (DSH course), you will receive an admission letter for the DSH course. This process may take up to eight weeks after the application deadline, so we kindly ask you not to inquire about the application status during this time.

Please note that this admission is solely for the DSH course, not yet for your intended degree program. Eligibility for the degree program will be assessed at the end of the DSH course. While you will not need to reapply, admission criteria (e.g., entrance exams, language requirements, minimum grades, recognition of previous academic achievements) may change. It is therefore essential to stay informed about the specific admission requirements for your chosen degree program.

Up-to-date and detailed information on the degree programs offered at the University of Paderborn, along with their respective admission requirements, can be found [here].

All applicants from Intermediate Level II or Upper Level of the DSH course at the University of Paderborn (both EU and non-EU nationals) must register their intended course of study with the International Office. Once enrolled in the DSH course at Intermediate Level II or Upper Level, you will receive the necessary application form.

Proof of Attendance Requirement for DSH Course - January 2021
