E-Stories - Digital Storytelling
Overview
The ERASMUS+ project 'Digital Storytelling in Supporting Immigrant University Students' focuses on the development, testing and evaluation of an online course in the form of a MOOC to promote storytelling in digital formats, taking into account migration and immigration, diversity and cultural aspects as well as language learning challenges. This will be complemented by the development, testing and evaluation of a guide for European language teachers in e-book format as well as technical toolkits, course materials and curricula and the publication of e-books with storytelling by learners in the context of digital stories,
The project has a duration of 36 months, with English being used as the project language.
Objective
The need to respond to the ongoing changes in the world of global education (such as increasing digitalization and efforts to adopt 21st century skills), multiculturalism and multilingualism, rising immigration rates and the increasing number of international students from social, economic and cultural backgrounds. The different backgrounds of higher education institutions in the countries (either due to the institutions' internationalization strategies or the migration crisis) were the starting point for this project.
