SEEL - Sound in European E-Learning
Overview
SEEL is an ERASMUS+ project embedded in the 'Strategic Partnerships' action with a focus on vocational education and training (VET). As an internationally oriented project in the EU education program. The duration of the SEEL project is 24 months.
Four partners from three countries are working together on the project: from Germany, Romania and the Czech Republic. The project is coordinated by the Chair of Business Education II at the University of Paderborn and includes a technology partner and two development and testing schools.
The following project results are being sought by SEEL:
- Research results in the field of the use of sound and audio elements in e-learning with a specific focus on vocational training
- Open learning materials for integration into OER learning opportunities (Open Educational Resources)
- A training course on the use of sound and audio elements in learning contexts, and
- The so-called SEEL-Learning Solution Network, a cooperation that is permanently committed to questions of the integration of audio elements in learning processes.
The project is examining the possibilities for using sound in e-learning measures as a way to improve the learning experience and support learners. Particular attention is also paid to visually impaired and blind learners. The project consortium will develop and establish model implementations and publish them in a handbook. This will serve to support future improvements in the development of open learning content and other forms of e-learning applications, particularly with regard to vocational training and career orientation.
The project language is English.
