Last Friday, December 6th, the Welcome Services hosted a visit to the Christmas market, bringing this year’s event program to a festive close. Despite the chilly weather, a small but cheerful group enjoyed the holiday atmosphere in Paderborn’s city centre and took the opportunity to exchange thoughts about the upcoming holiday season.The chilly weather faded away with the warmth of mulled wine and the delight of delicious food.

Last Thursday, November 21, 2024, the Welcome Services for International Researchers and Employees hosted a "Cozy Season Potluck." In a small and pleasant gathering, participants enjoyed the dishes they had brought and shared their thoughts on the upcoming holiday season. The evening concluded with an English version of the classic game "Stadt, Land, Fluss" (City, Country, River), which brought plenty of fun and laughter.

Following the successful event in 2023, the Welcome Services for international researchers and employees organised a Libori fair stroll last Tuesday. Fourteen researchers and employees accepted the invitation to explore Paderborn’s “fifth season” together.

On Friday, 21 June 2024 the Welcome Services organised a hike and picnic in the Haxtergrund for international researchers and employees. The starting point for the hike in the summer rain was the campus of Paderborn University where six international researchers set off together. The participants brought a selection of snacks to share during a break halfway through the three-hour hike.
