The second joint meeting of the DMRC-Academic and ILH Advisory Boards and Executive Boards took place as part of the first inter-institute event in the research priority Sustainable Materials, Processes and Products.
In addition to Prof. Schmid and Prof. Tröster reporting on current developments and research areas at the DMRC and ILH, Prof. Meschede, Head of the Competence Centre for Sustainable Energy Technology (KET) at the University of Paderborn, gave a presentation on the institute. As central scientific institutions, all three institutes work on an interdisciplinary basis and are increasingly linked through current research initiatives.
The question of how the synergies between these three institutes can be better exploited in the future and how these institutes should strategically align themselves in the future was discussed with the Advisory Board. Particular attention was paid to external visibility, networking and collaboration with external stakeholders. Their views and contributions have given us valuable impetus for the future organisation of the profile area!
Following the meeting, the exhibition on mobility, lightweight design and additive manufacturing provided an opportunity for networking. An attractive series of presentations by faculty members and partners rounded off the event.
