Berufsorientierungsseminar 2011
Overview
With the 2011 careers orientation seminar, we tested a concept of implementing careers orientation at an external, i.e. non-school, location in order to minimize the influence of the school environment on the seminar and to test the extent to which progress in skills can be detected in the learners.
The learners take on the classic activities of preparing a CV, writing letters of application and the task of creating their own application video. In addition, the testing and evaluation includes tasks in groups that alternate between experiential educational elements and career-oriented elements and thus contribute to promoting motivation through a competitive approach.
Network assessments are used to collect competence assessments in the form of external and self-assessments, supported in part by a computer-aided competence assessment documentation procedure.
The study focuses on the approach of team building and cooperative work as a basis for career guidance concepts.
