Paragon - Effective chain modeling of a drive in the interior area of motor vehicles

Overview

For technically sophisticated products, a large number of functional and non-functional requirements must be met. This applies in particular to the highly regulated automotive industry, which is characterized by complexity. The Product Development Group supports the automotive supplier paragon in the development of model-based functional chains for mapping mechanical, acoustic and electrical interactions between the components of a drive system in the interior of a motor vehicle. The aim is to make the complexity of development controllable and to be methodically prepared for the future regulatory framework. Based on the factual-logical procedure in the V-model of VDI 2206:2021, workshops are conducted with the developers for different system maturity levels and development areas. In this way, dependency data (traceability) can be collected for modeling and enriched with expert knowledge. Subsequently, the dependencies and system elements are modeled to understand cause-effect relationships. Using the chains of effects, both interdisciplinary communication is promoted and the possibility for intelligent impact analyses is created. This increases development efficiency.
