Sprachschatz - Library and KiTa hand in hand

The pilot project “Sprachschatz - Bibliothek und KiTa Hand in Hand” is a cooperation project between public libraries, daycare centers and municipal integration centers (KI), which was carried out by the Fachstelle für Öffentliche Bibliotheken NRW together with the Landesweite Koordinierungsstelle Kommunale Integrationszentren (LaKI). The aim of the media pedagogical project is to promote the linguistic and cognitive development of children in early education through close cooperation between libraries and daycare centers. As part of this project, a variety of measures are being developed to enable children aged between two and six to improve their language and reading skills.
