Industrie 4.0 Ökosystem für den automatisierten Einsatz von datengetriebenen Services (I4.0AutoServ)

Overview

Collecting and processing machine and production data is becoming increasingly important for companies. This is because the processing of data gives them the opportunity to derive maintenance and individual service offers. This means that a mechanical engineering company can not only provide its machine, but also offer a service that uses data to individually configure the machine for its customers, for example. IT platforms are required to collect, analyze and process the data. These must be tailored to individual machines or components. However, this poses a major hurdle for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in particular due to the high level of complexity and the specialist knowledge required.

The aim of the ‘Industry 4.0 ecosystem for the automated use of data-driven services (I4.0AutoServ)’ project is therefore to fully automate these steps. These are to be provided in a developed Industry 4.0 ecosystem. The advantage of the ecosystem is that it gives companies the opportunity to independently design and continuously develop data-driven services for their products or productions. As companies do not have to worry about the technological framework, SMEs can also start developing value-adding services straight away.
