Inclusion competence in daycare centre teams

Overview

The aim of the research project on quality development in the context of inclusion is to develop a curriculum for the professionalisation of inclusion skills in daycare centre teams in close cooperation with practical institutions. On the basis of a catalogue of criteria for "good professional practice", modular team development measures will be carried out that are geared towards the varying degrees of inclusive practice and the relevant framework conditions on site. In addition to the pedagogical, (specialised) didactic and diagnostic qualifications in the team, the professional experience and interaction methods of the specialists are also taken into account. To this end, innovative methods such as video-based observation and reflection of everyday situations are used and further developed for the area of inclusive settings. A total of 12 facilities in North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Württemberg are taking part in the project. The project is being extensively scientifically monitored so that change processes resulting from the implementation of the curriculum can be recorded in a pre/post comparison.
