Dr. Alexandra Schmitterer

Alexandra Schmitterer studied Psychology und Literary Sciences (B.A.) and added a Masters Degree in experimental und clinical Linguistics (M.Sc.) and school psychology. She loves learning and thinking about how we are processing language and how it affects our emotions, our way to perceive the world around us and our development. She completed a PhD in Psychology about the lexical development of children transitioning from kindergarten to school. In addition to teaching at the University of Paderborn, Dr. Schmitterer is also an associated Scientist at DIPF (Leibniz Institute Research and Information in Education) in Frankfurt am Main.
