Prof. Dr. Elke Eller, Professor of Strategic Management at Worms University of Applied Sciences and member of the supervisory boards of K+S Group and thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG, was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Faculty of Business and Economics as a pioneer of modern human resources management.
Prof. Dr Eller completed her studies in economics at the Goethe University in Frankfurt. She later completed her doctorate at the Faculty of Economics at Paderborn University. Between her studies and her doctorate, and also during her doctoral period, Eller held various professional positions in management. She also held board positions at Volkswagen Financial Services AG, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and TUI AG. As a proven expert in corporate transformation, her focus is on people. In addition to her board and supervisory board mandates, she is involved as an investor and mentor in the encourageventures start-up network. This network of female investors and mentors provides targeted support for female founders in the successful implementation of their business ideas. From 2015 to 2019, she was president of the German Association of Human Resource Managers (BPM) and was inducted into Personalmagazin's "HR Hall of Fame" in 2021. Eller is considered a pioneer and trailblazer in modern HR management. Her impressive career thus serves as inspiration and motivation for the graduates of the Paderborn Faculty of Business and Economics.
Prof. Dr. Elke Eller's advice to women aspiring to a career in business or science is: "Keep an inner compass when it comes to the big decisions in your career. There has never been one right career path. All the more important are personality, one's own values and convictions, and the willingness to continuously develop oneself. Studying at Paderborn University is an excellent starting point for this."
The Faculty of Business and Economics at Paderborn University has now inducted the scientist into the Hall of Fame, honoring her alumna's outstanding work in business and public life.
