InRegioFIT

Welcome to InRegioFIT, the project for international students at Paderborn University!

The InRegioFIT project is part of the FIT programme (Promotion of International Talent for Integration into Studies and the Labour Market), which is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) as part of the Campus Initiative International Professionals. The programme is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), which is providing a total of 120 million euros until 2028.

With InRegioFIT, our university is pursuing the goal of providing international students with targeted support throughout their studies and during their transition into the labour market. The project focuses on the specific regional requirements and circumstances in order to optimally prepare international talent for entering the local labour market.

Aims of the project:

Support at the start of studies and integration into the university,
Measures to support students during their studies and ensure their success,
Promoting the transition of international graduates into the regional labour market.

A central aspect of InRegioFIT is the expansion of practical advice and support services that prepare international students for the requirements of the German labour market. The project also focuses on creating cooperative networks between the university, regional companies and other players relevant to the labour market. This cooperation is intended to create clear transition structures for international talent entering the labour market.

With the support of the DAAD and BMBF, InRegioFIT is making an important contribution to promoting international talent and strengthening the regional economy.
