Start of course: 21/04/2025 (Please note that due to the public holiday, no teaching will take place on 21/04.)

Placement
- If you already have some knowledge of German but have not yet completed a German course at Paderborn University, you must take a placement test before enrolling.
- The test takes place online via KOMO: detailed instructions.
- Please note the deadlines (see section "Dates" above).
Note: If you have no knowledge of German, you do not need a placement test and can register for A1.1 directly in PAUL.
Enrolment
- Please register in PAUL under "Language course": detailed instructions.
- If you have been allocated a place but do not wish to take part in the course, please deregister from the course.
Note: If you have not been allocated a place on the course and are having problems with your standard period of study as a result, please send an e-mail to deutschkurse@upb.de. Please state in the e-mail,
(1) which degree programme you are enrolled in
(2) and why it was not possible to enrol on time.
In justified cases of hardship, we will check as quickly as possible whether late enrolment is possible. To ensure that your request can be processed promptly, please contact the central e-mail address.
