Programs, opportunities and support for schoolchildren

Paderborn University offers schoolchildren the opportunity to find out more about the university, its campus and course programs, with the chance to pursue their specific research interests in a number of projects and workshops and participate in a taster course at the university, for example. During the school holidays, the university offers holiday programs (so-called "Kinderferienfreizeiten") for schoolchildren to try their hand at research, crafts and experiments.

Children's holiday camp

Since 1999, a holiday camp for children of university-affiliated parents has been offered directly on campus during the school holidays. The holiday camps are designed not only to make it easier for staff and students to reconcile work and family life, but also to help develop an interest in school among children before the orientation stage.

Girls' Day

Like many other universities, Paderborn University is also involved in Girls' Day - Girls' Day.

Boys' Day

Since 2010, Paderborn University has also organised a Boys' Day.
