Peer writing consultation - by students for students
Welcome to the website of the peer writing consultation service from the Kompetenzzentrum Schreiben! We support you at eye level in your academic writing and work.
Our consultation hours take place during the lecture period as well as during the lecture-free period.
Our counselling services
Our advice is action-orientated, person-orientated and process-orientated. You can come to us with any questions about academic work and writing. For example, we can support you in finding a topic, narrowing down your topic and research question, revising your outline, overcoming writer's block or expanding your texts. We can also give you constructive feedback on your texts. You should make sure that you submit your text to us at least three days in advance. The text should also be a maximum of three to four pages long.
What we do not offer
Proofreading for spelling, grammar, citation conventions and comma placement.
For this you can use the Sprach- und Rechtschreibbüro (formerly Orthografiezentrum) for this.

You are welcome to visit us spontaneously during open hours or by making an appointment by e-mail via our mailbox studentische.schreibberatung@upb.de / studentische.schreibberatung@uni-paderborn.de. Please always make an appointment for text feedback.

Open consultation times (without prior appointment)
- Tuesdays from 11.00-13.00 in the counselling office ME0.227 (you will find the office in the canteen wing in the corridor with the ATMs).
- Wednesdays from 13.00-14.00 at the Information Centre of the University Library
- Thursdays from 14.00-15.00 at the Information Centre of the University Library
By appointment
- Mondays in the afternoon area via Zoom
- Wednesdays in the afternoon area in presence or via Zoom
