The Legal Office for Legal Matters in Studies and Teaching supports and advises the faculties, in particular the individual examiners and the members of the examination boards, on all legal issues relating to examination law. It also provides legal support to staff in the Central Examinations Office.

As part of the conception or revision of examination regulations for the respective degree programmes, e.g. during accreditation processes, it undertakes the legal review and formulation. This is done in dialogue with the contact persons from the faculties and the accreditation processes.

In addition, the legal advisors are responsible for conducting legal proceedings and representing Paderborn University in all examination law matters in and out of court.
