Student life cycle

Subdivision 3.4 "Campus Management" is responsible for the digital "Student Life Cycle". This covers all phases of the student life cycle. To optimise this, we operate the integrated campus management system "PAUL " (PAUL stands for "Paderborner Assistenzsystem für Universität und Lehre"). This helps us to holistically map daily academic and administrative processes, minimise administrative work, ensure the smooth running of studies and optimise the quality of studies and teaching as well as our processes.

A web-based software solution is used to administer all processes online, from applying for a place to study, enrolment and registration/enrolment for modules and courses to taking examinations. The campus management system essentially consists of four fields: student management, degree programme management (modelling), course management with room management and examination management.

In close coordination with the subdivisions involved, the faculties and the PLAZ, the campus management system is continuously developed and adapted to the administrative requirements of studying and teaching.
